He’s been coming by every night about 6’ish for the last two weeks. He’s a Xantus Hummingbird, medium-sized and endemic to the southern half of the Baja California peninsula. It has a black mask, white ear-stripe, red bill base, and rusty tail. Males have a throat that flashes green in the right light, while females have pale cinnamon underparts. They prefer arid woodlands and desert scrub, but can also be found in gardens.
