These whales were bigger than my paddleboard

I took out the paddleboard yesterday with a friend. We were heading south along the coast and got sidetracked by two whales east of us near Carmen. They lead us to mobula rays, rooster fish, jelly fish, salps, eels and another pair of whales.

The surface is so calm, but so much is going on underneath.

When I moved here one of my fantasies was to be able to paddle out into the sea of Cortez and just watch nature and be present. These experiences are better than I could have imagined.
